Yes. Although designed for use with an iPod/iPhone, the SoundDock Portable system also has an auxiliary input for connecting other audio devices. You can enjoy the same audio performance from another MP3 player, a portable CD player or music phone.
You can expect eight hours of use per charge on average. Recharge the battery or use an optional spare battery for additional playing time.

The custom remote controls the SoundDock Portable system plus basic iPod functions: on/off, pause, volume, track seek/scan and playlist navigation. The SoundDock system's volume also can be controlled by buttons located on the dock on the side of the system.

This car charger uses a 12V power outlet commonly found in vehicles. It lets you play music and charge your SoundDock Portable digital music system, SoundLink® Air digital music system or SoundLink® Wireless Mobile speaker. You can also charge an iPod® or iPhone® if it’s docked in your SoundDock Portable system.
