Can I play music from a digital music player other than an iPod®/iPhone®?
Yes. Although designed for use with an iPod/iPhone, the SoundDock Series II system also features an auxiliary input to attach other audio devices. You can enjoy the same audio performance from another MP3 player, a portable CD player or music phone.

Which iPod models are compatible with the SoundDock Series II system?
The SoundDock Series II system plays these compatible iPod models. It requires an Apple Lightning™ to 30-pin adapter for use with iPhone 5 and other iPod and iPhone models with an Apple Lightning connector.

In addition to controlling the SoundDock system, does the remote also control the iPod/iPhone?
The custom remote controls the SoundDock Series II system plus basic iPod/iPhone functions: on/off, pause, volume, track seek/scan and playlist navigation. The SoundDock system's volume also can be controlled by buttons located on the dock on the front of the system.

Does the SoundDock Series II system charge my iPod/iPhone?
Yes. When plugged into a wall outlet, the SoundDock Series II system will charge any compatible iPod/iPhone docked to the system.
