The Bose® 251 outdoor expansion package with AL8 wireless link delivers quality performance in your yard with greater simplicity. Establishing sound outdoors is done without room-to-room wiring, an ideal option if your 251 speakers will be positioned more than 20' from your Lifestyle® system.
The key technology for this homewide wireless audio solution is our proprietary Free Field® circuitry. It enables the Bose link AL8 system to operate efficiently in the presence of signals from cordless phones, wireless Internet connections and other devices. The AL8 transmitter and receiver work through most walls and floors, and operate from up to 80' away.
Just make one connection from the AL8 transmitter to your Lifestyle® system. Connect the receiver to the SA-3 amplifier that powers your outdoor speakers. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the music. Your system—and the components attached to it—are easily controlled outdoors with the Personal® music center III. This easy-to-use remote lets you select any device set up to work with your Lifestyle® system and adjust its audio playback outdoors. Plus, you'll have access to your iPod® playlists, showing title, track, artist and genre of any song from your music collection.
Our 251 outdoor speakers use an Articulated Array® speaker design to produce an extremely wide sound field. Each outside speaker cabinet houses two drivers set at precise angles so you experience consistent stereo effects as you move around outdoors. And the unique multi-chambered design of the speaker cabinet minimizes audible distortion from low frequencies, for sound with clear, natural impact.
More than elegant, these speakers are also durable enough to withstand weather extremes. They're engineered and tested to withstand snow, rain, salt and temperature extremes of 140° F to -22° F. They are also protected by a five-year limited warranty.
