Overview

In-ear. Noise cancelling. Better sound.

Shut out the world and lose yourself in your music—or let the world in. It’s your choice with the first in-ear noise cancelling headphones from Bose. The QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones let you enjoy better sound every day, everywhere you go. Turn on noise cancelling to reduce surrounding distractions and focus on your music. Or, at the touch of a button, activate Aware mode to hear what’s happening around you. Proprietary StayHear®+ tips provide a soft, secure fit. The inline microphone and remote let you switch easily to calls and control of certain functions. Choose either the QC®20 Apple device model or the QC20 Samsung and Android™ model to use with your respective device.

These headphones are designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod models. They are not compatible with iPhone 7 and later. A Lightning to 3.5 mm adapter is needed for iPhone 7 and later. A version is also available for Samsung and Android devices.

  • Bose® noise cancelling technology, shut out the world and focus on your music
  • Aware mode to hear what’s around you at the press of a button
  • Deep, clear sound from the Active EQ and TriPort® technology
  • Soft, and secure for hours of listening from proprietary StayHear®+ ear tips

Lose yourself in your music

QC20 headphones let you experience music on the go as never before. You'll enjoy lifelike, digital sound quality that stands out from the noise around you—plus the freedom of an in-ear headphone. StayHear+ tips physically block some noise while our Acoustic Noise Cancelling technology electronically reduces most of what's left. It's just you and your music, even in noisy environments.

Tune in to your environment

But there are moments when you may not want to be so cut off from your surroundings. Crossing a city street. Waiting for airline gate announcements. This is where Aware mode comes in. Instead of removing your headphones, just press a button, and you're back in touch with the sounds around you—while your music keeps playing, and you still experience some noise cancellation.

Engaging sound

All this, plus Bose lifelike sound. Sound you wouldn't expect from in-ear headphones. Our TriPort® technology and Active EQ combine to give your music a depth and balance that keep your daily soundtrack fresh and alive. The subtle details shine through, too. So wherever you are, your music's front and center.

Advanced ear tip technology

And your music's even easier to enjoy when you're not fussing with your headphones. Proprietary StayHear+ tips create a soft, secure fit with no need to force them into your ears. The cone shape spreads contact evenly across the ear for maximum comfort, and forms a gentle seal that contributes to the headphones' full-spectrum noise reduction.

You're in control

Controls are all at your fingertips. Use the slider switch on the control module to turn noise cancelling on and off. The inline microphone/remote houses Aware mode and call answer/end buttons. The 4-button remote, provides volume and music control plus access to voice-recognition apps, like Siri or Google search.

Rechargeable battery

The lithium-ion battery (located inside the module) charges in just 2 hours with the included USB cable, and delivers up to 16 hours playing time per charge. A battery indicator light displays power status. And, even if the battery dies your music still plays with performance equal to that of our regular in-ear headphones.

When not in use, simply store your headphones and cables in the included carrying case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes! These block out snoring! I've had these for about two months and these have maybe saved my relationship. They've definitely saved my sanity. I was at wit's end with my partner's snoring. We'd tried a bunch of stuff to get him to stop snoring and they weren't working. There were times I'd fantasize about smothering him with a pillow (sleep deprivation is no joke!). I decided to try these out, sure they wouldn't make a difference, but confident in the 30 day trial period. I can still hear the snoring if I really strain to, but why would I do that? The noise just goes quietly into the background and I naturally don't focus on it. On a recent hot night, we had the box fan in the window on full blast. It was pretty loud. White noise, but pretty loud. I turned on my headphones and was shocked that the fan noise totally disappeared. I don't use these outside of bed. The battery pack seems a little bulky and I already had regular headphones that I like (and are cheaper and I'm not in fear of breaking), so I don't really have a commentary on how the sound is on these (I only listen to podcasts or nature sounds). You also can't sleep on your side with these on (back sleeping only). And the light on the battery pack is kinda bright for nighttime. All these things aside, I still am in total love with these headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Headphones I've ever had I had this for more than two years now. I've tried multiple headphones, this are just superior! I had them in white, and now in black. The sound is crisp, clean and the noise cancelling is phenomenal, great for flights! Just ordered new wireless headphones.

FAQs

Can I use the headphones even if noise cancelling is off or if the battery is depleted?

Yes, QC®20 headphones are still able to play audio if the battery power is depleted and the unit is powered off. You will not be able to use noise cancelling or Aware mode, however, and Active EQ, which electronically provides more lifelike audio reproduction, is disabled. These technologies need power to operate.

What devices can I use with QC20 headphones?

QC20 headphones are specifically designed to work with select Apple or select Samsung and Android™ devices. An inline microphone and one-touch answer/end button allow for seamless switching between your calls and music. Some phones may require you to hold the answer/end button for a few seconds to perform these functions.

Can I use QC20 headphones in the rain or snow?

No, QuietComfort 20 headphones are not designed to be used in wet environments.
