Cannot pair speaker with Bluetooth® device

If you have trouble pairing a Bluetooth audio device with your speaker, try these suggestions:

Disconnect anything connected to the speaker's AUX jack. When the AUX jack is connected, Bluetooth is disabled

Be sure your speaker is in discoverable mode. Press and hold the Bluetooth button for about 3 seconds until the speaker's Bluetooth indicator begins flashing white

Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON on your device. This is typically done in the settings menu of the device

Open your device's Bluetooth settings menu and make sure the Bose speaker is selected as the paired device. If you don't see the speaker on your device, choose "search" or "scan" from the device's Bluetooth menu

Try moving your device closer to the speaker. The Bluetooth range is about 30 feet. Range is reduced when interference is present, like walls or multiple Bluetooth devices in the same area 

If possible, turn off all other nearby Bluetooth devices or disable their Bluetooth functionality

Make sure your Bluetooth device supports the A2DP (stereo Bluetooth) profile for music playback. If you're not sure, check the owner's guide of your device

When connecting to a computer, make sure to select the the Bose speaker as the sound output device from the sound settings menu of the computer. Also, check to see if the application you're using has a sound output device selection. Once selected, you may need to play a song or close and reopen the music playback application

Reset the device you are trying to pair. This is typically done by rebooting/restarting it, or removing the battery and/or power cord for one minute

Try pairing another device. If the other device works, there may be an issue with the first device
