Expanding your Lifestyle® system outdoors or to another room

Your Lifestyle® DVD home entertainment system can direct sound to more than one listening area. Bose® link technology enables family members to simultaneously listen to two different audio sources from your Lifestyle® system—such as CD, AM/FM tuner, TAPE or AUX—in as many as 14 different rooms, or even outside. Plus, each person can enjoy the source they have selected with independent on/off, mute and volume control.

Your Lifestyle® DVD home entertainment system acts as the hub of a network of Bose link-compatible products including the Wave® music system, 3∙2∙1® Series III systems, Lifestyle® RoomMate® powered speakers, and a variety of un-powered Bose speakers and associated amplifiers. Connect these Bose products to the Lifestyle® system media center with Bose link cables and adapters, and use them throughout your home to listen to sound from your Lifestyle® system.

Bose link technology also allows you to listen to Lifestyle® system audio in additional areas without room-to-room wiring. The Bose® link AL8 homewide wireless audio link consists of a transmitter that connects to your Lifestyle® system media center, and a receiver that connects to a speaker system in another area. The transmitter and receiver work through most walls and floors, and operate from up to 80 feet away. The Bose link AL8 wireless homewide audio link is available for purchase on the Parts/accessories tab above.

An RC-18S expansion remote control in each listening area makes it easy to manage your whole-house music system. Or, if your Lifestyle® system includes the uMusic®+ intelligent playback system, a Personal® music center II in each room adds versatility. This advanced remote control has a backlit LCD screen that allows you to navigate your digitally stored CDs, see the title, track, artist and genre of the music currently playing, and other listening options.
