Heart rate monitor setup - MapMyRun (iOS)

To setup the heart rate sensor in MapMyRun on iOS, follow these steps:

Make sure the SoundSport Pulse headphones are powered on and connected to your iPhone. To verify, there should be a small vertical battery icon next to the Bluetooth icon in the status bar at the top of the screen

You can also navigate to the Bluetooth page in your phone’s settings menu to confirm that Bose SoundSport Pulse is under MY DEVICES with the word “connected” next to it.

Insert the SoundSport Pulse headphones in your ears. The heart rate sensor is located in the left earbud, so make sure the left earbud is securely in place

Open the MapMyRun app

Log in to the app or create an account

Tap the heart icon on MapMyRun’s status bar

On the Apps & Devices screen, scroll down to the "Workout Devices" section, and click "Heart Rate"

On the HR Monitor screen, select "Auto-connect" if you would like to auto connect each time you open the app, then click "Connect"

The SoundSport Pulse's heart rate sensor should automatically connect at this point. The ID, below the heart icon, is an ID that is specific to your headset's heart rate sensor. You should also see your heart rate data appear in the Heart Rate section

Note : It may take a few seconds for the heart rate data to appear on the screen. It may read “00 bpm” for a few seconds before displaying your current heart rate data.
