The Action button can be programmed to either access the Google Assistant or set your noise cancellation levels. The Action button is located on the back of the left earcup.
Download the Bose Connect app to easily program the Action button.
Setting the Action button to the Google Assistant: The Google Assistant allows you to quickly enjoy entertainment, stay connected, get information, and manage your day—all without glancing at your phone. Setting the Action button to noise cancellation: Allows you to quickly and easily change the noise cancelling setting. Noise cancellation reduces unwanted noise providing a clearer, more lifelike audio performance. You can choose three levels of noise cancellation based on your listening preferences and environment.
Open the Bose Connect app, and connect your headphones
In the top right corner of the app, tap the Gear icon (Settings) to enter the settings menu
In the Settings menu, select Action button
Select between Noise Cancelling or Google Assistant
Note: The Google Assistant is standard on eligible Android devices*. For iOS devices, the Google Assistant app needs to be downloaded from the App Store. The Google Assistant isn’t available in all languages and countries.
*Works on Lollipop (5.x), Marshmallow (6.x) and Nougat (7.x) Android Phones with Google Play Services, >1.5GB of memory and 720p or higher screen resolution.
