Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good fit, sound is fair, quality in the mic isn't there Being an active runner, I require a solid set of earbuds that don't fall out of my ears while running. That said - the FreeStyle earbuds from Bose are perfect, they stay comfortably in ears even after a half marathon. The sound isn't the best - but I was willing to compromise a little on that. The base and treble tones aren't as deep or tight as one might expect from this brand, but I'm not too hung up on that feature - for some that might be a deal killer. My hang up with these earbuds is that the mic - volume control keeps failing after about 4 - 6 months worth of usage. As mentioned by other posters, for an "active" lifestyle - these aren't the most durable set of earbuds on the market. I've gone through at least four pairs of earbuds since my purchase, all with the exact same problem - the mic - volume control fail - but the earbuds still function. I hope that Bose's QA department gets on the ball and fixes this design problem - but I'm holding my breath. I'm debating if I want to purchase their more expensive sound proof earphones if their earbuds have this QA problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Pair of Indigos These we're actually the first pair of Bose earphones. I think they're amazing although I believe they were about $50 more expensive when I bought them last year. They never fell out, they never broke, and they always sounded great. The color choice was a bit odd for me at first but I quickly got used to them because I enjoyed how different they were. I even got compliments on the color from time to time. For my second pair I'm not entirely sure whether I should try Soundtrue or Quietcomfort.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unhappy Had them out of the box for a short time and im already going to return them. the sound quality is great and what you get from what ive seen is definitely worth the money but by making the microphone work with only certain apple products they kind of left out everyone who prefers android. also the chord is kind of short so you may have trouble if you keep your phone in your pocket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never Again I bought these headphones and they are absolutely great comfort, and the sound quality is good. But within the two months they quit working. From Bose I expect better quality, no matter how good a product is if it wont last then its not worth your hard earned money. NEVER AGAIN

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Have gone through 9 headsets, but will still keep coming back to these Over the course of 2 years I have gone through 9 sets of Bose earphones. The customer service has been fantastic throughout those two years, and I have never had any problem getting my earphones replaced. The reason why I continued, and will continue to replace my bose earphones, and not change brands, is because I simply have never found a design of earphone which is more comfortable to train with, or has better sound quality - and I simply also like the colours. Unfortunately I don't feel this brand of earphone actually lives up to it's disclaimer of being great for "those who are active". I train, and run every day, (which is why it is imperative I have a earphone which is comfortable and doesn't cause any discomfort or annoyance!), thus I sweat alot. The issue I was continuously facing with my headphones was that after approx 6 months, in every case, the toggle would begin to malfunction. Whether impacting the volume control, or music playing ability. Now, an active person sweats - and for some reason I feel the sweat was causing the toggle to malfunction. And when I describe the sweat - I'm simply referring to the toggle having contact with my chest, or sweat running down from my ears. Trust me, after a few replacements, and after I got over my extreme frustrations, I really started paying attention to what may be causing the problem. Therefore no matter what, if your 'active', sweat gets into contact with the toggle, thus - if these earphones could be manufactured to be a BIT more durable I would be in heaven ! BOSE if you ever want a proper ACTIVE real life person to trial your headphones for honest feedback you can be sure of - I'm your girl!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent first impression! I bought these to replace my Monster DNA earbuds that kept falling out of my ears during workouts. I gotta say, right out of the box these Bose earbuds are incredible! The sound quality is unreal. I ran them through a gamut of music to see what they are capable of and so far, they are delivering the sound quality that Bose is known for. I've owned plenty of Bose products and these earbuds look and feel as high quality as any of their other products. The price is a little high but you get what you pay for. And that is a product that delivers crystal clear sound with a comfortable fit. I was wearing them for over an hour and couldn't even feel them in my ears. They are very light without feeling junky , and the rubber ear tips that come in 3 sizes are nice and flexible for the perfect fit. They are also different from traditional earbuds in that you don't have to jam the rubber tip into your ear to get good sound and-or make the earbud stay put. Comparing sound between the Monster DNA's and the Bose FreeStyle, I'd have to say that the DNA's have more bass but less overall quality and crispness. The highs and mids sound muffled by the bass. But the FreeStyle's are so clear and the sound settings on my iPhone 6 will allow me to tweak the bass without sacrificing the crisp highs and mids. Buy with the confidence that you are getting a quality product from Bose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love hate Great headphones sound is perfect as usual with bose. Customer support is a 10-10. But like all bose products they are fragile. They make up for this in the great customer support, but again the product could be a bit more rugged.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for a while, wire started to fray I have had theses earbuds for about a year now. When I first got them the audio was INCREDIBLE. All of the low, mids, and highs were there. The bass could have been a little stronger but there are apps that can change the level of low, mids, and highs. Now I have had them for a while and the wire connection is fraying. Depending on where the wire is positioned the audio will only go to one ear. I think this is just because I use to fall asleep with them on. I think this made them get stretched at night and it ruined the connection. I am going to buy theses AGAIN because I STILL LOVE THEM. So my tips are don't fall asleep with them in your ears and use the carrying pouch. Highly recomended.
