Our best-performing Wave® system

Our best all-in-one music system performs like a large component system costing much more—with far less complication and clutter. Advanced Bose® speaker and audio technologies deliver sound with clarity and consistency, even at loud volume levels, in larger rooms and outdoor spaces.

System packages add more playing options: music from your iPod® plus Internet stations and playlists from your computer, smartphone, tablet or any Bluetooth® device. The Acoustic Wave® music system II—one quality system for all your musical needs.

  • Proprietary waveguide speaker technology enables full-bodied sound with deep lows for more natural-sounding bass and percussion instruments
  • Powerful performance fills larger rooms and outdoor spaces with lifelike sound
  • Easy portability with the optional travel case
  • Versatility to expand your listening options with custom packages

The science behind the sound

The Acoustic Wave® music system II proves that a primary home stereo system needn't be complex or cumbersome. Acclaimed Bose waveguide speaker technology remains at the heart of the performance, providing powerful sound from small speakers.

Advanced Bose digital electronics fine-tune the sound for accurate music reproduction across a wide range of volume levels. Vocals sound lifelike. Instruments ring true. More nuances emerge. The overall effect is much like music in a natural, live-performance setting.

Added versatility

The Acoustic Wave® music system II plays regular and home-burned audio or MP3 CDs as well as FM/AM radio. There's a headphone jack for private listening, auxiliary inputs for your MP3 or other portable player and an easy-to-read display. System packages add even more musical options, from your smartphone, iPod, tablet and more.

Control and convenience

A convenient infrared remote lets you control your system from across the room. The Bose link feature lets you easily connect your Acoustic Wave® music system II to a compatible Bose Lifestyle® system for an expanded home entertainment network.

If you're traveling, bring the music with you. An optional travel case makes it easy to enjoy your music at a picnic, tailgating or any outdoor gathering.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the high price I bought an acoustic wave music system II a couple years ago and it cost me about $1400....I only bought it because Bose offers the 30 day money back guarantee. It sounded good, but not $1400 good..I would say it would be worth about $800 tops. I brought it back for a refund, just too much cash for what you get. sorry Bose

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not recommend I was expecting the same sound I heard on TV commercials right out of the box.Guess what? It never happened.I spent almost $1500 for the ASW with cd changer, and the cd changer does not play most of my mp3.I called BOSE: they asked me to ship it back for repairs.Received it back and nothing was done, never the less I asked customer support to help me pick the right settings for the size of my room and the high of the ceiling, and he said it will set up by itself. Not true, still the same sound.I will never buy BOSE again

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Living with a lemon music system Purchased the AWMS II with the 5 cd changer three years ago. Unfortunately I didn't play music for long periods of time before I noticed that the bass would drop out, leaving a tin like sound. Last year I finally PAID to have the system repaired. Again, I wasn't home much to listen to music. Tonight, Mother's Day Eve (smile), I'm enjoying music and lo and behold the same thing happened (not smiling)! So as I suspected before, I must own a "rare" lemon system. I refuse to pay for service again, so when guests hear the bass drop out, the Bose rep will take a hit like I did for the hefty price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from truth with thought through experience So here I am listening to music on my Bose III & cooking in the kitchen. Pomodoro sauce is simmering away, sausage and fennel are browning in the sauté pan I'm just relaxing away on my night off as a Chef. Door bell rings. Its 5 friends w- 3 bottles of fabulous vintage red wine and a bag full of Charcuterie. Its now a dinner party. I turn the music on my Bose from classical to The Canadian Tenors (from my iPhone) via the BlueTooth adapter i got with my Acoustic Wave III music system....place the volume @ a cool 73 and the night begins into a memory that i'll never forget. As the night progressed i placed the volume @ 87 which is its sweet spot for probably 3-4 hours. Zero fade & Consistently brilliant. We ate; we enjoyed amazing company; with classic Italian cuisine and good music the night began into something amazing. That little music system is everything 'one needs to entertain and FILL greatroom & kitchen with some serious music quality and it not be over whelming and musically sectional like majority floor speakers & larger component music systems.By far one of the best toys I've ever bought for my kitchen. People do need to remember that this is for enjoying MUSIC and not being the AV system for your theater or to vibrate your walls in your house. Hands down 5 stars!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cd player Bose speakers have a truly superb sound. I have had the acoustic sound system since the early 2000's or so. It was probably one of the first to made. Bose should stick to speakers, not cd players. I would say they play maybe 50% of all the different cd's manufacture thru out the cd world! that is not good for an eleven hundred dollar sound system. I have the smaller radio cd player also. what made me want them? Well I once had a friend who had the very first Bose radio. that looks very similar to the current one except it did not have a build in CD player. My friend had a old school flat portable cd player hooked up to it. The sound was great. that is why Bose speaker, great. Their CD player, bad. Thanks for letting me vent.., i know., it's a little late.P.S. I still enjoy them, but I would not buy another
