Wherever your music lives, it comes alive here

The Wave® music system III, the all-in-one system for all your music—now with even more convenience, more precise radio reception and more onscreen text information. Plus, system packages work with the ways we get our music today: Internet radio, smartphone apps, tablet, music from your computer—and whatever the future may bring. These additions can turn your Wave® music system III into a complete home audio hub.

Yet even as this system evolves, its legacy remains unchanged: elegant, easy-to-use, delivering sound way beyond its size.

  • On/off/snooze with just a simple tap
  • Advanced tuner with radio text display
  • Set two different wake-up times with independent alarms
  • Award-winning sound from a compact system
  • System packages available for all the ways you listen to music

Elegant simplicity

Just plug in the system and you're ready to go. The touch-top controls for on/off/snooze are completely invisible. Regular or home-burned CDs/MP3 CDs load directly into the front, eliminating moving CD shelves or doors. This system fits virtually anywhere in your home.

Big sound from a compact system

Advanced digital electronics and proprietary waveguide speaker technology helps deliver performance well beyond the system's size.

Plays well with all your music

There's a built-in CD player and FM/AM radio. Custom packages also let you enjoy multiple CDs, music from your iPod®, smartphone, computer, tablet or any Bluetooth® device.

Wake up to convenience

Addicted to the snooze control? We've made it easy enough to trigger in your sleep. When the alarm or music comes on, just tap the top of your Wave® music system III. No remotes or buttons to locate. And our dual independent alarms let early birds rise without having to reset the wakeup time for a late-sleeping partner. Nice. And practical.

Easy usability

The advanced FM/AM tuner delivers better radio reception. More song and station information now appears on the large visual display, with adjustable brightness and automatic nighttime dimming.

A slim infrared remote control lets you conveniently operate all system functions from anywhere in the room. You can instantly access your favorite stations with six FM and six AM presets, and even move through your iTunes® or Internet radio playlists with certain custom packages.

More features

  • Auxiliary input to enjoy another audio source (e.g., MP3 or DVD player) through your Wave® system
  • Headphone jack for private listening
  • Bose® link easily connects your Wave® system to a compatible Bose Lifestyle® system for an expanded home entertainment network
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Sound and Excellent Product I own three (3) Bose Wave products, two with CD players. They have never given me an ounce of trouble. One unit is at least 10 years old and works perfectly. I would recommend the Bose Wave Music System to anyone who enjoys music or radio.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It just stopped playing CDs I purchased one of these units about a year ago, and today (May 11, 2015) it simply stopped playing CDs. I have a huge collection of jazz and rock CDs, so please don't tell me about the cloud and more contemporary tech. At this price, the unit should have lasted years, especially given the Bose rep. I even purchased one as a gift in December. I do not recommend this unit, and I will probably not do business with Bose again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound From A Small Unit I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and range - and at lower volume levels too. Easy set up - instruction booklet very clear for the technically challenged! A few suggestions, though--offer option of shorter power cord so it can be fully extended as recommended; offer dust cover to keep out dust - especially from the CD slot; back-lit remote is too large for the size of the unit - cumbersome to keep on a nightstand or small table.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great sound, but that ia all it has. Just wait until you get a CD stuck it it, and your warranty is out and you have to have it repaired at your cost, plus S & H.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No reception! Sound is good, but you can not get good reception, it will find a station but has poor, very poor quality to the sound. I tried buying their antenna but did not nothing except waste my ten dollars.NO way worth the $500.00 dollars that it cost to say you own a Bose. Better not loose the remote because there is no way to even turn it on.I wish I had read reviews before buying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Sound Got the Wave system with the cd as a Christmas gift and was so simple to hook up. it took exactly 5-10 minutes. I hooked my old I pod which was compatible as is my I Phone, but as soon as I upgrade my phone I cannot use my phone. For the money it cost they should have put an adapter for free. Just another way to get money from the consumer. Bose for all the money it cost to purchase, you should be able to hook up any I phone to 6S or any I pod. As for the sound, it cannot be beat. I hope I get years of music with it, but Bose don't be so greedy and have the consumer buy all the extra's when my system was way over 500.00. All adaptures should be free with a system that cost $$$$$.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Remoteless is useless I've purchased two Bose systems...great sound; not practical design. I haven't used one in almost a year--lost remote, and nothing works without the paper thin remote. I finally broke down today and ordered two remotes so I can enjoy the sound in two separate locations. I strongly recommend buttons somewhere unobtrusively placed on any new Bose design. Otherwise, perfect.
