  • Advanced tuner with radio text display
  • On/off/snooze with just a simple tap
  • Set two different wake-up times with independent alarms

Acclaimed performance

The original Wave® radio woke up an entire industry with its unmatched sound. And that hasn't changed. Bose proprietary waveguide speaker technology combines with advanced digital electronics to deliver performance well beyond the speakers' size. Get ready to rediscover your favorite tunes with details you may have never noticed before.

Elegant simplicity

"Setup" involves taking the radio out of the box and plugging it in. Done. It's that simple. You can operate volume, station selection and even some accessory functions with the convenient remote control.

Welcome additions

The Wave® radio III features some noteworthy updates. An advanced tuner delivers more precise radio reception and displays text information, like artists and song titles, from stations that broadcast it.

Waking up is now easier, thanks to touch-top controls and dual independent alarms. If you like to snooze in the morning, just tap the top of your Wave® radio III to buy some extra time. No remotes or buttons to locate. The dual alarms are great for working couples who have to wake at different times.

More features

  • Auxiliary input to enjoy another audio source (e.g., MP3 or DVD player) through your Wave® radio III
  • Headphone jack for private listening
  • Bose® link easily connects your Wave® radio III to a compatible Bose Lifestyle® system for an expanded home entertainment network
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Back your product! I was the owner or one of the first wave radios. I paid the going rate of $349 at the time of purchase.I only received about two years of service from the unit before it died. I called Bose to let them know that I was dissatisfied with the radio at the price that I paid. I was told that I would be able to get $100 credit towards one of the newer Bose systems when I turned in the unit for the trade. I was afraid that if I did make that move I would get another lemon. If Bose's backs up their product I don't see why that $100 credit can't be used at any time for a purchase of one of their items. There are a lot of quality electronic devices on the market why should I go back to Bose?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bass is too overpowering I want to hear more treble but this radio does not allow anything but the default factory sound. I am extremely disappointed. Have had the radio about 4 months and feel I have thrown money away. I want to be able to adjust the tone. Buying this was a bad decision -- too expensive and locked into one sound only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product and Great Customer Service! My wife and I received a Bose Wave Radio as an engagement gift in 1997. We have used it as our alarm clock in our bedroom ever since and lately had noticed that the numbers were becoming more and more difficult to see both during the day and at night. I called up Bose customer service and they asked me to unplug the clock and then see if I could adjust the lighting. It still did not work. The customer service representative told me that unfortunately it looked like the lighting had become defective. I asked what could be done as I really like the sound and remote convenience of the Wave Radio. They offered me a deal where I would send back my old Wave Radio and they would offer me a new Wave Radio for $199.00 plus taxes and shipping for the old Wave Radio. I quickly accepted and within four days of shipping the old Wave Radio my new one arrived in Titanium Silver. The setup was quick and painless and the sound is even better then on the old Wave Radio! Thank you for building a great product and more importantly standing behind your product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid nightstand radio The radio sounds good, music from my iPhone 6 Plus sounds better, clock and alarm are accurate, and the LCD time display is a cool green-blue. Improvements should-could be made. For example, the IPhone accessory with the 30 pin requires an adaptor for the lightnig attachment. Really Bose, you can't manufacture an updated version? However, the total product is one of the best.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice sound but hit some design failures A 350 dollar radio goes into a room with expectations. This was my 5th Bose item. I had high expectations. It fell very short on three criteria. 1.] I have it across the room, about 15 feet from the bed. The display is tiny. So tiny it is a joke. I can't believe it was designed this way by a company like Bose. I had to move it to a spot closer and my wife says she still can't read it at night. Very disappointed.2.] It is advertised as a FM-AM radio. We listen to AM talk radio in the morning to catch the news, weather and traffic. The AM tuner is just awful. Our old cheap $10 radio had better reception. I expected better from Bose and I called them to complain. I told them about the issue and they said, yeah, we know. They suggested I add a $50 terk antenna to my $350 radio to make it as good as my old $10 radio. I really should have returned it right then and there. I have 4 other Bose systems in the house and chose to keep it. With the $50 add on antenna it does sound better than the tinny $10 radio. But I should not have had to do this. For $350 Bose should have been able to design a decent tuner into their radio.3.] One of the other reviews hits on the lack of controls on the radio itself. You can snooze the alarm on the radio itself, but not turn the alarm off for the day. You must have the remote for that. This is not as big a deal, but, what were they thinking.John

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I expected from Bose I purchased the radio with the bluetooth adapter and have been completely satisfied. The sound is wonderful and what I would expect from Bose. I would highly recommend this unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bose...What Were You Thinking?? No controls on radio itself...what were you thinking?? I have older Wave with controls. They are essential at night as I can perform all functions by touch. Not with this new radio. REALLY disappointed. PLEASE bring controls back. No more purchases until then!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but no nice features First of all, this radio sounds great. However, this day and age should bring a few gimmies......aka cd player, bluetooth...etc...all of which are not on this player. The remote is nice but having no controls on the unit itself is puzzling. The price tag is extreme and I am sure most of the cost has to pay for Bose's image but this is not worth the money.
