Clearly better TV sound

Your favorite TV shows are filled with “can’t miss” moments. But you are missing some of them if you’re relying on your HDTV for sound. Whispered dialogue, subtle sound effects, mood music. The Bose Solo 15 TV sound system solves this problem, easily and unobtrusively. It sits directly under your TV and delivers better sound with a single connection. It features acoustic improvements over the original Bose Solo TV sound system, and is compatible with larger TVs for a more enjoyable experience.

  • One-connection convenience for clearly better TV sound
  • Fits under most TVs 46” to 50”, or can be placed on a shelf directly below TV
  • Easy bass adjustments from control knob on the back of the system
  • Universal remote to control your TV and other sources

The specifics behind the sound

So what’s inside this elegant, pedestal-style speaker? Plenty. Speaker arrays positioned at each end of the cabinet work with proprietary TrueSpace® technology for full, spacious sound. A dedicated center speaker—and digital signal processing—enables clear dialogue at any volume. It all adds up to deliver more detail and better sound from your favorite TV shows than you’ve heard before. And it’s much more than you could ever dream of from your HDTV alone.

Setup couldn't be easier.

You want your TV shows to shine. But you don’t want a ton of equipment to make it happen. That’s the beauty of this system—one speaker, one connection to the TV. Plug the speaker into the wall, and enjoy the show. It’s that easy.

Low notes how you like them

Dramatic programs. Live concerts. Suspenseful series. There are times you just know you’ll want a little more bass when watching TV. Go ahead—you can adjust the bass control to your liking with the control knob on the back of the speaker.

Universal remote included

Thinking about your Blu-ray player or gaming system? We’ve got you covered there, too. We’ve included a universal remote to easily control both the system and most video sources connected to your TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of Bose's Better Products... Got the Bose Solo 15, this past week, and let me tell you it was EZ to set up, can put my 50" LCD TV on top, set the bass level and it sounds great. Music sounds so much better with this product and movies really pop too. Thanks Bose for another great product, just one question, how do I hook up my 901's to it???

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed. Purchased the Bose Solo a little over a year ago. Have another Bose product and was very pleased so that is why this was purchased. This system worked good for awhile and now there is no sound. Read the other reviews and am trying the unplug thing to see if this works. I expected more from Bose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk The sound goes out and you have to unplug the unit for 20 minutes to get it working again. I found this out from a Boise tech. He said they were aware of this when they sold them. They should have fixed this problem before selling them. Too expensive to have it be junk!!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sorry we purchased this expensive junk We bought the Bose Solo 1 1-2 years ago and have had "issues" with it for the past 8 months, sound will work, then it just quits. We thought it was the cord so bought new ones. This seemed to work for a while but happened 2 more times. Then last week it quit again, so we figured it was where it plugged in to the TV - Hubby was wanting a new TV so we bought one and that darned Bose will NOT work and I know it's not the TV - we thought maybe it was the optical cable, so bought a new one - STILL DOESN"T WORK and I KNOW it's not the TV so I'm done wasting time & money, the fantastic BOSE is going in to the trash can - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, it's not that great of a product and trying to get help is like pulling teeth out of a rock!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bose Solo 15 TV sound system We purchased the system because of the BOSE name. This is the second system that we have purchased and after 8months on the first unit and only 3 months on the second unit. We are not happy nor satisfied with the sound system. Both units had on sound when we turned the TV on. The system worked perfect the previous night. This system must have a problem built into the system. Better QA should or could save the companies name and reputation. .Not happy at all..........

FAQs

FAQs

Why is the sound produced by the Bose Solo 15 TV sound system better than my TV speakers ?

The system uses proprietary technology to bring out audio details that cannot be reproduced by most built-in TV speakers. Digital signal processing delivers clear and natural dialogue, sound effects and music at any volume level, while a new five-element speaker array inside the enclosure produces sound that’s wider than the screen.

How is the Bose Solo 15 TV sound system different from the original Bose Solo system?

The Bose Solo 15 system shares many features and benefits with the original Bose Solo system, but now has several new features. It can support much larger TVs and has acoustic improvements such as a dedicated center speaker for improved intelligibility, plus new digital signal processing and driver placement for improved spaciousness. It also features a bass level knob so you can adjust low-note performance to your liking.

What size TVs are compatible with the Bose Solo 15 TV sound system ?

The Bose Solo 15 system is designed for TVs with bases that are no wider than 24" (61cm) and no deeper than 12.25" (31cm). Most TVs 46" and smaller meet these requirements and some 50" TVs will fit as well. The maximum weight that can be placed on the Bose Solo 15 system is 75 lbs. (34 kg), which is 2 times the weight of a typical 42" (107cm) television.

Do I need a separate receiver with this system?

No, you do not need a separate receiver with this system.

Where should I place the system?

Place the system directly below your TV on a flat and stable table or shelf, large enough so that the TV speaker fits with no overhang.

What if the TV’s base is larger than the system’s top?

A TV should not be placed on the Bose Solo 15 system if the TV base is larger than the system’s top. However, the product can still be used by placing it on an open shelf that’s above or below the TV.

Can I listen to the system with my headphones?

No, there is no headphone output on the system. If you want to listen to TV with headphones, you can use the TV’s headphone output.

Can I connect other sources (e.g., gaming system, DVR) to the system?

Any device with an analog, optical or coaxial digital audio can be connected to the Bose Solo 15 system. However, it's recommended that you only connect the system to your TV to ensure sound and picture always match.

What type of devices can be controlled with the system’s remote?

The system’s remote can control many common sources like a cable or satellite box, Blu-ray Disc™ player, etc.

What is the USB port on the back of the product for?

The USB port is for system software updates only.
