Our communities

Below are just a few examples of the 20+ global Full STEAM Ahead events we’ve sponsored in 2025:

Boston Music Project (BMP)
Framingham, Massachusetts, USA – More than 75 employees gathered at Bose headquarters in Framingham on September 25 to pack Paper Orchestra kits for K1/K2 students (ages 4 – 5). These cardboard instruments serve as a student’s first “instrument,” teaching care, responsibility, and music skills. The kits are provided at a BMP event where young students assemble and paper mâché string instruments for both structure and aesthetics. Bose’s volunteerism and financial support enabled children to acclimate to musical instruments, helping ensure the long-term social-emotional, and musical success of Boston youth.

CyberMentor
Stuttgart, Germany – Bose employees hosted a cohort of girls from a CyberMentor partner school. CyberMentor, our nonprofit partner, empowers female students in STEM through online mentoring by connecting them with experienced mentors for guidance, support, and resources. At this September 23 event, the girls participated in three workshops: Build a Speaker, Software Coding Demo, and Garage Audio Demo. The participants were highly engaged, informed, and inspired — most expressed interest in working at Bose in the future.

Rhonda Walker Foundation (RWF)
Detroit, Michigan, USA – Participants from the Rhonda Walker Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Michigan that focuses on empowering young women’s success in inner cities through mentorship, visited the Bose hub office in Detroit on January 18. Bose employees conducted Automotive and Consumer Electronics demos and shared first-hand experiences from women in engineering to inspire participants to pursue careers in STEAM.

Save the Music Foundation (STMF)
Southfield, Michigan, USA – On March 18, Bose funded a High School Music Technology Grant through STMF, a nonprofit that supports students, schools, and communities in reaching their full potential through the power of making music. Bose’s sponsorship provided musical instruments, technology, and resources to Southfield High School for Arts and Technology, a public magnet high school with a primarily diverse and financially disadvantaged student body. By establishing sustainable music programs, delivering equipment, and supporting innovative music technology and artist engagement opportunities, Bose helped bring 21st-century training techniques in electronic music to students — fostering creativity, talent, and confidence through the fundamentals of electronic music creation, recording, and production.

Waffle
Tokyo, Japan – On September 23, Bose hosted a one-day workshop at its Tokyo office in collaboration with Waffle, our local nonprofit partner dedicated to closing the gender gap in the IT sector by empowering and educating young women and non-binary individuals in technology. The event, aimed at female junior and senior high school students, was themed “Unlocking the World of Sound Through Technology and Creativity.” It combined hands-on experiences with Bose’s acoustic technologies and a beginner-friendly JavaScript rhythm game coding session. Through product demos, mentorship from female engineers, and interactive projects, the workshop sought to inspire young women to explore careers in technology and sound engineering.
