For best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. The bass module should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the bass module should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the bass module should be pulled away from walls and corners.

I have a Bose Ultra Soundbar and wanted the Bose Bass Module 700 for a long time. I finally got it !!! I should have got it sooner. It is fantastic !!! It has added such a rich, deep sound. Movies sound so much more dramatic with the full bottom sound it brings to life. Set up took 5 minutes, easy pairing. I definetly recommend the Bass Module 700 if you want to up your sound game.

I added this subwoofer about two weeks after getting the Ultra Soundbar and the addition was incredible. Ultra soundbar by itself is really good but this added layer takes it to an even higher (and deeper) level. Completely shook me when I heard it. Highly recommend if you can afford it.

Impactful Sound, Beautiful Package
Big fan of these. Several years ago I bought what was the Bose Soundbar 700 - this has since been replaced with the updated / renamed Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar, both of which work with these speakers - alongside the Bass Module 700. Just recently, I purchased these speakers as the final add-on to the setup to complete it, and I'm very happy. I love the wireless connectivity, simplicity of setup, they look great, and despite their small size they pump. Some content is very subtle, others are more obvious, it really depends on the mastering of the soundtrack. I also noticed that when playing music via Spotify casting, you do get audio out of these speakers. I can't really tell if Bose is doing some clever audio processing, or maybe some of these tracks come with some sort of surround sound mastering (I don't think so), or maybe they're just duplicating the full track audio to all connected speakers. Regardless, it's nice to hear music coming from all directions. I have these paired with the Bose stands, which are a perfect height for a standard couch. There are basically no options in the Bose app for these speakers - the settings seem to apply to the whole system as far as Bass, etc... - but you can control the overall volume in comparison to the rest of the system to make them more or less subtle. You'll want to experiment with the Bose "Adaptiq" calibration & this setting to get it to where you want.
At the end of the day, these provide impactful, detailed surround sound in a sleek and beautiful package, as you'd expect from Bose. The price tag is, arguably, too high. But for the entire experience when getting the full Soundbar 700 / Ultra set, it's hard to complain about the cost because it's just so enjoyable. I've had the rest of the system for years and have no desire to swap or upgrade, despite having the "old" 700 Soundbar model and missing out on the Atmos up-firing speakers. These complete my setup, and I plan on keeping it rolling for many years to come.

I have the complete set with Bass Module 700 and Surround Speakers 700. I replaced my old Acoustimass speakers with Sony amp from 2005 with this set. What a technological difference 20 years has made!
-Aesthetics are a plus. I got rid of bulky amp and center speaker. It’s small and blends in.
-Big sound small package. Watching a movie with Dolby Atmos resembles a theater experience in my den, surround sound decoding is realistic! Music with deep bass is punchy and highs are crystal clear! You can raise the volume with no distortion.
-The Alexa feature is great so you can voice control it.
-You can synch play with other Bose soundbars in your home network.
-I connect my Bluetooth record player to listen to old albums.
-The Bose app is good and allows you to control, update and configure your system.
I have had this system for 1 1/2 years. I am very pleased with my purchase. Through the years I have owned many Bose speakers of different types (computer, headsets, earphones and mobile Bluetooth). I suppose I like the brand and their products a lot that I keep coming back for more.
In my opinion, Bose speakers are awesome and this system does not disappoint.

Incredible Sound!
