The Bose Surround Speakers 700 connect wirelessly to the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar, Bose Smart Soundbar 600, Bose Smart Soundbar 900, Bose Smart Soundbar 300, Bose Smart Soundbar 700, Bose Soundbar 500 and the SoundTouch 300 soundbar—so no wires are required from the front of the room to the back. But the Bose Surround Speakers 700 do require electrical power to power the wireless receivers, and there is a speaker wire connecting the wireless receivers to the speaker itself.

I added this subwoofer about two weeks after getting the Ultra Soundbar and the addition was incredible. Ultra soundbar by itself is really good but this added layer takes it to an even higher (and deeper) level. Completely shook me when I heard it. Highly recommend if you can afford it.

Impactful Sound, Beautiful Package
Big fan of these. Several years ago I bought what was the Bose Soundbar 700 - this has since been replaced with the updated / renamed Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar, both of which work with these speakers - alongside the Bass Module 700. Just recently, I purchased these speakers as the final add-on to the setup to complete it, and I'm very happy. I love the wireless connectivity, simplicity of setup, they look great, and despite their small size they pump. Some content is very subtle, others are more obvious, it really depends on the mastering of the soundtrack. I also noticed that when playing music via Spotify casting, you do get audio out of these speakers. I can't really tell if Bose is doing some clever audio processing, or maybe some of these tracks come with some sort of surround sound mastering (I don't think so), or maybe they're just duplicating the full track audio to all connected speakers. Regardless, it's nice to hear music coming from all directions. I have these paired with the Bose stands, which are a perfect height for a standard couch. There are basically no options in the Bose app for these speakers - the settings seem to apply to the whole system as far as Bass, etc... - but you can control the overall volume in comparison to the rest of the system to make them more or less subtle. You'll want to experiment with the Bose "Adaptiq" calibration & this setting to get it to where you want.
At the end of the day, these provide impactful, detailed surround sound in a sleek and beautiful package, as you'd expect from Bose. The price tag is, arguably, too high. But for the entire experience when getting the full Soundbar 700 / Ultra set, it's hard to complain about the cost because it's just so enjoyable. I've had the rest of the system for years and have no desire to swap or upgrade, despite having the "old" 700 Soundbar model and missing out on the Atmos up-firing speakers. These complete my setup, and I plan on keeping it rolling for many years to come.

Great Atmos sound, theater like experience
I have the complete set with Bass Module 700 and Surround Speakers 700. I replaced my old Acoustimass speakers with Sony amp from 2005 with this set. What a technological difference 20 years has made!
-Aesthetics are a plus. I got rid of bulky amp and center speaker. It’s small and blends in.
-Big sound small package. Watching a movie with Dolby Atmos resembles a theater experience in my den, surround sound decoding is realistic! Music with deep bass is punchy and highs are crystal clear! You can raise the volume with no distortion.
-The Alexa feature is great so you can voice control it.
-You can synch play with other Bose soundbars in your home network.
-I connect my Bluetooth record player to listen to old albums.
-The Bose app is good and allows you to control, update and configure your system.
I have had this system for 1 1/2 years. I am very pleased with my purchase. Through the years I have owned many Bose speakers of different types (computer, headsets, earphones and mobile Bluetooth). I suppose I like the brand and their products a lot that I keep coming back for more.
In my opinion, Bose speakers are awesome and this system does not disappoint.

Incredible Sound!
We recently upgraded from Bose 600 Soundbar to the Smart Ultra with Smart iQ and we've been very satisfied with the sound after tuning the system to our space. However, finally breaking for the Bose Bass Module brought a surprising additional dimension to the total sound (and feeling) of music and movies! Theater quality sound!
Really brings depth of sound with the Ultra Soundbar. I have a 350 Soundbar and Sub Woofer and thought I was doing pretty good. Then I went to my brother's house and was blown away by the theater like sound of his system. When he told me he had the 700 sub woofer paired with the 900 sound bar I knew I had to switch. I moved the old system to the small room which is the master bedroom and it sound better in the smaller space. Bose products are definitely worth the cost!

The Soundbar 900 is everything that was promised. The sound quality is such that subtitles are rarely used. It was extremely easy to setup
My only negative is the remote. It is coated with
a dull black coating that is very difficult to use. You can't tell when you turn the soundbar on or off

Volume output!
Only way to get enough volume from speakers was to wrap speakers in a towel when preforming the Adaptiq feature. Otherwise the volume is a issue. Bose needs to rectify that problem!
