Just say it to play it

Did you know you can control many Bose products with your voice? True story. In fact, Bose smart speakers, and select noise cancelling headphones, allow you to talk to Google to get more done with your voice. Read on to learn more about how you can get a little help from Google.

A little help to get things done

Talk to Google to get more done with your voice. You can easily enjoy music at home or on the go. You can play your favorite music, control volume, and find information about the song that you are listening to. You can also plan your day, set alarms, and control smart devices around your home — just say Hey Google to get started.

Why use Google Assistant with Bose products?

Using Google Assistant with Bose products ensures that your music, podcasts, and phone calls will sound deep, clear, and full of life. Google Assistant helps you across devices, like Google Home, your phone — and your Bose speaker, soundbar, or headphones.

Google Assistant is currently available on Bose Portable Smart Speaker, Bose Smart Soundbar 900, and Headphones 700, plus a host of smart home products.

What can I do with Google Assistant and Bose products?

When you enable Google Assistant on your Bose speakers and headphones, you’ll quickly discover how they work together to help make so many things easier to do. For example:

Enjoy entertainment

With Google Assistant and Bose products, your voice is the ultimate DJ. Imagine you’re making dinner and you’re in the mood for some music. Your Bose Smart Speaker 500 is across the room. Without stopping what you’re doing, simply say out loud, “Hey Google, play my dinner playlist on Spotify.” In moments, your playlist will begin to play. It’s that easy. Play and control your favorite music, podcasts, and radio — hands-free.

Get answers to your questions

If you’ve got questions, ask Google for answers. Let’s say you’re getting dressed in the morning and it looks cloudy outside. Your Bose Smart Soundbar is nearby. Simply say out loud, “Hey Google, what’s the weather?” Google Assistant will read back to you the latest forecast. Use your voice to find out the latest news, get last night’s sports scores, get directions, do calculations and translations, and so much more.

Manage your day

Getting help to get through your day is only a few words away. For example, you’re wearing your Bose Headphones 700 while you work. You suddenly remember it’s your brother’s birthday and you want to call him tonight. Just press the voice assistant button and say, “Hey Google, remind me to call Scott at 8 PM.” It works for anyone in your phone’s contact list, or any business listed in Google Maps, too. Of course, Google Assistant can place the call for you: “Hey Google, call Scott!” Use Google Assistant to manage your calendar. Say out loud, “What’s on my calendar?” or “Create an event for [Monday at noon],” or “When is my next meeting?” You can also create shopping lists and set reminders — just ask Google.
