Lila’s introduction to Bose sound came from the iconic Wave radio she saved up for and purchased during graduate school to fill her small apartment with music.
Lila Snyder is Chief Executive Officer of Bose Corporation, overseeing all aspects of the company’s consumer audio, automotive, and audio technology businesses. She also serves on the Bose Board of Directors. Bose’s consumer audio portfolio includes its premium and luxury brands Bose, McIntosh, and Sonus faber.
For over 60 years, Bose has been built on a deep commitment to research and engineering, with a dedicated audio research lab focused on advancing the science of sound and developing innovative audio technologies for the home, on the go, in the car, and beyond. Under Lila’s leadership, Bose is advancing this mission and pursuing growth by expanding the reach of its audio technology beyond its own brands through partnerships that bring Bose audio technology and experiences to millions of consumers.
Prior to joining Bose in 2020, Lila was an executive vice president at Pitney Bowes Inc., where she led the company’s Commerce Services division. She also spent 15 years as a partner at McKinsey & Company, consulting for clients in the technology, media, and communications sectors.
In addition, Lila is a member of the Board of Directors for PulteGroup Inc., one of America’s largest homebuilding companies. She also sits on the Alumni Board of Directors for the University of Miami and participates in the MIT School of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council.
Lila earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Miami.
