Can the Bose Bass Module 700 be wired?

Yes. If for some reason a wired connection is preferred, the Bose Bass Module 700 and the Bose Soundbar 700 can be hardwired together using a standard 3.5 mm audio cable. Contact your local Bose customer service center or purchase this standard cable at any electronics store.

What placement guidelines should be considered to ensure optimal audio performance of the Bose Bass Module 700?

For best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. The bass module should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the bass module should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the bass module should be pulled away from walls and corners.

Can the Bose Bass Module 700 be added to other one-piece Bose speakers, such as the Bose Home Speaker 500 or SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker?

No. The Bose Bass Module 700 can only be added to the Bose Soundbar 500, Bose Soundbar 700, and the SoundTouch 300 soundbar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bass Response The Bass on this this is amazing. The bass doesn't sound overly boomy. The bass adds a lot to the sound bar. It really sounds like a true surround sound speaker system. With some EQing you are all set to go. If you are listening to any bass heavy music such as hip hop, house, or EDM you are in for a delightful treat. Movies are just as awesome. The Dark Knight Returns is loud, impactful, and punchy with the module. I give it a definite 5 star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbeatable Bass! Bose 700 module perfectly complements Bose 700 Soundbar. It is like a match made in heaven :-) in terms of looks and sound. Here is how I feel about this product and its features: Packaging & Box Contents Similar to soundbar, the bass module also comes in a very secure and sturdy box. It is a bit heavy so bend your knees when you pick it up. It is neatly packed with a lot of cushioning. The first thing that will catch your eye is the pristine tempered glass top. It looks fantastic. The product has a nice clean seamless look and the connection are on the back at the bottom. I have included some pictures to give readers an idea of the size of bass module. Other than a beautiful bass module in the box, you will also get a Power cord and instruction/safety booklet. That is all you would need. Setup The bass module set up is very easy and is driven through Bose Music App. Once you connect the bass module to the power supply and place it at your desired location, you add the bass module as an accessory to your Soundbar. You are done. The Soundbar and Bass module are wirelessly connected. You can run AdaptIQ calibration to optimize the sound experience. Sound Bass module produces very nice bass to give a fuller effect to the sound. The Bose 700 Soundbar communicates very well with the bass module and I did not experience any communication lag during my usage for movies, music. You can control the bass through the app and can feel the floor shaking under your feet or thump against your chest. Overall, it is an impressive product and with this bass module, an airplane take or any explosion scene in the movie will blow you away... So hold on tight :-) A must buy!
