California AB 1305 Disclosure

Bose Corporation (“Bose”) is committed to continuously improving our business operations to lessen our impact on both the local and global environment. Bose has set a goal to achieve a 50% reduction in company-wide Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2032 (Bose’s “Climate Goal”). While it takes many factors to successfully achieve our Climate Goal, Bose recognizes transparency is an essential element. As such, this disclosure is being made in response to the California Health and Safety Code (AB 1305), Section 44475.2, which requires disclosure of certain information about Bose’s Climate Goal.

 

Interim Progress. Bose does not currently claim to have achieved its Climate Goal. Details regarding Bose’s progress towards achieving its Climate Goal can be found on page 7 in our FY24 Sustainability Report

 

Third-party verification. Bose’s Climate Goals are aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative. For purposes of our Climate Goal, our CO2e emissions are calculated using the activity-based method, following the Greenhouse Gas Protocol’s Scope 1 & 2 GHG Inventory Guidance. We have not yet completed third-party verification of our CO2e emissions data.

Building our products and bringing them to market requires a global network of suppliers, contract manufacturers, and distributors. We continuously monitor every touchpoint in our supply chain to ensure our values of doing business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity extend to each of our suppliers.

Our commitment to the environment

We're taking a responsible approach to mitigating our products' impact on the environment. We're continuosly identifying and pursuing opportunities to reduce energy and material use, and limit carbon emissions and waste generation.
