Yes. The SoundLink Micro Speaker (2nd Gen) has a replaceable fabric strap, sold separately.

Active EQ (equalization) involves electronically tuning the frequency response to closely match the proprietary Bose audio response curve. The closer the frequency response comes to matching the target curve, the more lifelike the audio performance.

Multipoint is a Bluetooth technology that allows your SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) to maintain a connection to two paired source devices at the same time. Your speaker will seamlessly transition between the two devices, so you’re always connected to the active source device.

Shortcuts are managed through the Bose app. Shortcuts allow you to configure settings for the programmable shortcut button on SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen). When your SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) is new, the factory default shortcut is set to linking, allowing you to use the shortcut button to link two Bose speakers together. You can change your shortcut button to begin playing music from your Spotify account or to access your voice assistant. Other options may become available with future firmware updates through the Bose app.

Party Mode lets you connect two Bose Bluetooth speakers to play audio in perfect sync. This feature requires two Bose Bluetooth speakers with a shortcut button (may be a combination) of the following speakers: SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen), SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen), SoundLink Plus, or SoundLink Max.

Stereo Mode allows you to unlock a stereo audio experience where the left and right speakers play separately. Stereo Mode can only be used with two SoundLink Micro Speaker (2nd Gen) speakers.

Yes. Using Bose SimpleSync technology, you can connect to your SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) from a SimpleSync-enabled Bose smart soundbar or Bose smart speaker to extend the reach of your listening to other places in the vicinity, such as an adjacent room. Use the Bose app to use SimpleSync.

No, there are no microphones in the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen).

No. You cannot charge other devices using the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen). The USB-C port is charge-in only.

The sound is great and the volume more than other Bluetooth speakers I have used. The speaker's size and weight feel like it should deliver, and it does. I recommend this speaker; costly but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Foo foo skier from Better than ever! I received my 2nd generation speaker and charged it right away. The sound is AMAZING and not just for a speaker this size. I have the first generation, and the sound on my 2nd generation is more dynamic. I found everything about this generation to be more impressive than the first generation. Since nothing is perfect, my only complaint is I would like the charging cable to be integrated somehow. But since there aren't any others like that, this is no inconvenience. If you're questioning the power because of the size, don't! Just get it. This speaker may be small, but the sound is mighty. Mine travels with me on every trip. I love having music when I get ready in the morning in hotrls or wherever. And it's easy to pack or carry. Even in a purse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Corporate Hooper from Tiny, tough, and great for Zoom/Teams Bought the SoundLink Micro (2nd Gen) for travel and it’s turned into my everyday desk speaker too. For something that clips to a backpack, the sound is warm with legit bass and clear mids—music and podcasts both sound better than they should at this size. The silicone strap is clutch for showers, bike rides, and hotel rooms. Work bonus: I use it during video meetings and interviews as my speaker. Voices on Zoom/Teams come through crisp and natural, so it’s easier to catch details and not ask people to repeat themselves. It switches from music to a call instantly, and I usually keep my mic on my laptop/earbuds while the Micro handles the output—great combo for clarity. USB-C charging is convenient, and it shrugs off spills. Caveats: battery is a full workday, not a weekend; and at max volume the bass eases off and things flatten a bit. Still, if you want a tiny, tough speaker that travels well and also makes work calls easier to hear, this one hits the sweet spot.

Could be even better with Magnetic charging and strap. I’ve been using this to jam with some tunes on the guitar. I’m able to attach this to just about anything. Portability is great! Small enough for your desk, bathroom etc. Pairs to just about anything BT! Use it with your Apple TV or Mini IPad for a movie bedside!
