Bose x NME invites you to dive into the upcoming C23 Mixtape and live showcase.

The C23 track list

The C23 mixtape and track list

Famously a hub for all things music and pop culture, NME has had a part in launching the careers of bands such as Primal Scream with their iconic C-Series compilations.

Curated to include artists that represent the future of sound and music, the upcoming C23 mixtape will follow in the footsteps of the celebrated C86 release as it highlights individuals who are making strides in their respective music scene. The track list includes artists from various genres and various parts of the world, all of whom are connected by their outstanding talent and individuality.

The first track of the 15, “The Bend” by King Princess, has already been released…

and is out now on all streaming platforms. The full mixtape will be available March 15, when the C23 Mixtape is officially released on select digital streaming platforms; Spotify and Apple Music included.

The very next day on March 16, there will be an exclusive live showcase to celebrate the launch of C23 at SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Artists taking the stage include 070 Shake, Blu DeTiger, Danielle Ponder, Flo Milli, Genesis Owusu, Jockstrap, JVKE, MICHELLE, and Renforshort.

“It’s insane. I’ve been a huge fan of Bose and their headphones for a long time… Also, NME is legendary, this collaboration is just crazy worlds colliding. I love it.”

Having written songs since the age of 14, producer and singer-songwriter JVKE has gone viral on platforms like TikTok with his Billboard Hot 100 hit, ‘Golden Hour.’ And now, a remix created with world-renowned producer Max Martin is set to be featured on C23...

New-York based former-lawyer turned R&B artist Danielle Ponder’s debut album Some of Us Are Brave encapsulated audiences…

And her contribution to C23, ‘Spiraling,’ promises to do the same.

“When I write music… I am my own standard. If I feel like I have expressed myself honestly, whether it’s good or bad, then it meets that standard.”

Inspired by the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Frank Ocean, Genesis Owusu is a Ghanaian-Australian artist whose debut studio album Smiling with No Teeth, made it into ARIA Albums Chart top 30. His new song ‘Hole Heart’ will appear on the C23 Mixtape.

“We were exposed to so much stuff in London… I started writing songs because I was inspired by other people.”

Indie-pop duo Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye have just sold out an upcoming headline tour and released a killer debut album in 2022. Their latest venture? Reworking their single ‘Concrete Over Water’ for Bose x NME: C23.

“Great music is a powerful force — it evokes memories, serves as an outlet of self-expression, and brings people together. Our goal is to be a brand that champions both emerging musicians and music fans that enjoy the thrill of discovering new music — and the C23 compilation is the perfect way to connect those communities and their shared passion.”
