get a back up
Sometimes it works and sometime it does not. I suggest you get a back up cable because the cord might be twisted and does not have a connection.

Bose Earphone pad Replacement Debacle
I purchased the earphone pad replacements for an older pair of Bose earphone - QuietComfort 2" (QC2) - a couple of weeks back. They arrived and I was excited, but the excitement quickly turned into disappointment. They did not fit the ear phones even though I had ordered them for a specific model. It was obvious that they were not meant to match. Now I have nothing except a pair of useless pads.
